How To Keep Your Grass Looking Great During The Summer

Summer is one of the most awaited seasons throughout the year. This is the time when you can spend endless time at the beach, enjoying the sun and the water. It’s also the time when you can do a lot of the activities you’ve wanted to do, without the problems of rainfall.

Some people dislike the hot summer time sun. Gardeners especially loathe the summer sun because there is little rainfall and it becomes harder to keep their planets hydrated properly.

Lawn care during summer can be a bit tough. There will be no rain to water your lawn, and the grass will dry out if you do not water them. This should be your priority when during the dry season. Lawns could survive weeks without water, but neglecting them for a long time would lead to drying, and the lush green colors would be gone.

When you water your lawn once a week, it is a good idea to let give it a good soak so that the ground can absorb as much water as it needs. Giving a little bit of water each day may actually be more harmful than good because the roots won’t get the water they need.

In the summer, cutting the grass will become more frequent. It is best that you set your lawn mower higher than normal so that you don’t cut the grass too short. A short cut lawn will die in the sun faster and also allow weeds to seed more easily. Cutting part of your lawn at a time may also help maintain its look. Of course this might make more work for you but in the long run it will ensure a healthy lawn.

Keep these two simple tips of lawn care during summer and surely, you will have less problems than what you usually had the previous years. Instead of fretting, you can now have fun under the sun without worrying about lawn care.

To keep your grass nice and clean you will need to buy Shindaiwa string trimmers or Ryobi weedeaters. Lawn care is the most important part of keeping your yard beautiful.

Were to Find Garden Design on a Budget?

I want to redesign a medium sized garden, such as removing all the lawn and re planting trees, etc… The most important help I want is with a completely new layout, where and how to find an economical way of doing it, is there such thing as a garden centre who can help with advice and a computerized design perhaps? The garden is in Gloucestershire.
